We are an eCommerce brand seeking an experienced, Xero-certified bookkeeper with strong Shopify integration expertise to properly structure and clean up our accounting system.
Our current setup does not accurately reflect gross sales, fees, COGS, and operating expenses in Xero. We need a specialist who understands eCommerce accounting best practices to rebuild this correctly and create a reliable monthly workflow.
Scope of Work:
• Review and audit current Xero setup
• Properly structure Shopify payouts (gross sales, fees, refunds separated correctly)
• Implement or optimize Shopify → Xero integration (A2X or similar if appropriate)
• Integrate and reconcile PayPal transactions
• Ensure Meta (Facebook/Instagram) ad spend is recorded correctly
• Review and correct COGS structure
• Reconcile recent months to produce an accurate Profit & Loss
• Establish a clean, repeatable monthly process
Requirements:
• Xero Certified (please provide proof)
• Strong Shopify + Xero reconciliation experience
• Experience with A2X or similar payout automation tools
• Experience with PayPal and multi-channel eCommerce accounting
• Clear communication and ability to explain accounting structure
This is initially a cleanup and setup project, with potential for ongoing monthly bookkeeping support if the fit is strong.
We're ready to start immediately.
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months. with 30 hours per week.
