Pre-Construction Engineer HVAC

Purpose:
1. Ultimately accountable for delivering Discipline Specific Construction Work Packs and recording in AS9 the work information used to prepare installation (RFI, FCR..)
2. Contribute to the scheduling of the works for the discipline, including review and feedback on resource levels.
3. Define the scope boundary of works.
4. Liaise with SME's and client counterparts.
5. Ensure documents comply with latest works information and MEH documentation. Request clarifications or propose changes as needed. Prioritize and own documentation to enable construction as per schedule.
6. Keep documents up-to-date and review periodically.
7. Own and drive deliverables from conception to A-Accepted status, aiming for >90% first-time acceptance. This can include specific Method Statements.
8. Prioritize and own documentation to support construction as per the Level 4 plan, e.g., T-3 months acceptance prior to works.
9. Support continuous improvement programs for processes and procedures.
10. Report directly to the area pre-construction PM or deputy. Provide line management and deputize for the PM as required.
11. Ensure compliance with nuclear safety and site license requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Receive, analyze, coordinate, and action works information related to the discipline.
2. Identify the work front through detailed constructability reviews and installation schedule.
3. Identify key materials needed to progress installation. Request surveys and temporary devices as needed.
4. Deliver discipline-specific construction documentation, including work packs, supporting the installation program.
5. Coordinate between disciplines to manage interfaces for optimal schedule adherence.
6. Support other MEH teams such as temporary services, surveying, and coatings for coordinated execution.
Qualifications:
* Degree qualification or equivalent vocational training, or experience in HVAC system installation.
* Ability to achieve Security Clearance (BPSS or higher).
* CCNSG Safety Passport.
Experience:
* Proven experience in a highly regulated sector, preferably nuclear.
* Experience in major construction projects.
* Experience at Engineer or Senior Engineer level.
* Proficient in Navisworks and Excel.
