Description
* Produce and maintain accurate financial information relating to project delivery and usage‑driven income, ensuring figures are complete, reliable, and reported in line with internal governance.
* Record project and consumption‑based revenue transactions within the finance system, ensuring invoicing reflects approved activity and contractual terms.
* Play an active role in the month‑end close by preparing reconciliations, reviewing movements, and providing clear explanations for variances and trends.
* Review underlying data sources to identify inconsistencies, resolve errors, and ensure revenue is recognised appropriately.
* Track and analyse usage‑related income streams, investigating unusual patterns and supporting accurate customer billing.
* Prepare supporting documentation for audit and year‑end processes, responding to queries with clear, well‑reasoned explanations.
* Apply and uphold financial controls, ensuring reporting processes align with company policies and audit expectations.
* Work closely with finance and non‑finance teams to deliver meaningful reporting that supports operational and commercial decision‑making.
* Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy, efficiency, and visibility, contributing to ongoing process enhancements.
Profile
A successful Junior Management Accountant should have:
* A recognised or working‑towards qualification in accounting or finance.
* Practical exposure to financial and statutory reporting, ideally within a technology‑led or fast‑paced commercial environment.
* Solid understanding of core accounting concepts and the application of financial reporting frameworks.
* Strong analytical capability with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Confidence using financial systems, alongside advanced Excel skills for analysis and reporting.
