Leaving Care Mentoring Coordinator Location: Salford (outreach role) Pay: £16 per hour for first 3 months, moving to £27,500–£29,500 DOE on a permanent contract Hours: 35 per week We are recruiting for an organisation that supports care-experienced young people aged 16–28 as they transition from care into independent adulthood. This role is primarily outreach based (around 85%), working directly with young people across Salford who may be facing challenges such as housing instability, offending behaviour, substance use or social isolation. The role focuses on building trusted relationships and helping young people develop independence, confidence and positive outcomes. You will provide practical support and guidance, help young people access services, attend appointments where needed and advocate for them in multi-agency settings. The role also involves coordinating volunteer mentors, supporting mentoring relationships and helping deliver mentor training. Around 15% of the role involves administration including maintaining case records, updating monitoring information and liaising with partner agencies. A driving licence and access to a car is required as travel across Salford is part of the role.
