Applications Engineer – Permanent – Onsite

An exciting opportunity has opened up for a skilled and enthusiastic Applications Engineer to join a fast-paced, high-tech engineering business. This is a hands-on role that blends technical design, hardware/software integration, and client-facing project work.
This is a hands-on role combining engineering design, hardware/software integration, and project coordination — perfect for someone looking to build their career in a dynamic and innovative environment.
🛠What you’ll be doing:
* Working with custom software tools to design and configure technical systems
* Supporting the full project lifecycle from initial specification through to implementation
* Collaborating with internal engineering teams and external partners
* Assisting with system builds, testing, and deployment
* Writing and maintaining technical documentation
* Providing training and support for delivered systems
✅ What we’re looking for:
* 2+ years of engineering experience in automation, control, or systems integration
* A 2:1 degree or higher in Engineering or a related discipline
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* A proactive mindset and attention to detail
* UK driving licence and willingness to travel (UK and abroad occasionally)
* Familiarity with automation, sensors, or industrial technology
* Experience supporting system integration or field-based deployments
* Exposure to regulated industries such as manufacturing, medical, or electronics
