We are looking to appoint a highly organised, proactive, and professional Office Manager to join our dedicated team at a thriving secondary school in Chorley from 1st December on a temporary to permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in the smooth and efficient running of the school’s administrative functions.
As Office Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the school office, ensuring that administrative systems are effective, efficient, and support the wider needs of the school. You will supervise administrative staff, manage office workflows, and be the key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
You will play a vital role in supporting the senior leadership team, handling confidential information, coordinating schedules, managing school communications, and supporting compliance with school policies and procedures. You will also take responsibility for various administrative areas such as admissions, attendance reporting, and general correspondence.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a school or busy office environment, with excellent organisational and communication skills. You should have a strong understanding of administrative processes, be confident using a range of IT systems, and be able to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting. Experience supervising staff or leading a team is desirable, but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
