What you’ll do
* Create the solution architecture definition for your assigned change projects, supporting delivery of business outcomes that benefit both customers and colleagues.
* Work closely with stakeholders to contribute to the design and implementation of digital solutions, validating alignment with the bank’s strategic target architecture and roadmap.
* Architect customer‑centric, high‑performance, secure and robust end‑to‑end digital products, solutions, and services that deliver business value while aligning to the bank’s strategic target architectures and roadmaps.
* Support the growth of architectural capability, contributing to the development of architecture skills across the team by sharing knowledge, best practices, lessons learned, and mentoring others.
* Support the realisation of enterprise and solution architecture, working as part of development teams throughout the engineering development lifecycle.
* Provide technical guidance, resolve architectural impediments, and champion the adoption of architecture patterns and practices.
* Collaborate with programme stakeholders to help define the minimum‑viable solution architectures, following the bank’s architecture method and frameworks.
* Support the selection and integration of technologies using the bank’s approved technology catalogues and patterns, focusing on practical and immediate application.
* Adopt a DevOps mindset by working as part of development teams to embed architecture guidance in CI/CD pipelines.
Skills you’ll need
* Expert knowledge of application architecture, and in business data or infrastructure architecture with a working knowledge of industry architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or ArchiMate.
* Understanding of Agile and contemporary methodologies with experience working in Agile teams.
* Experience defining application architectures and roadmaps for complex solutions across all layers of the technical architecture.
* Background in delivering solutions that securely span a complex infrastructure domain, across multiple Cloud Providers such as IBM, AWS, GCP and on‑prem.
* Experience with systems development change lifecycles, best practices, and approaches.
* Knowledge of software, application, and systems engineering, with a working knowledge of Digital Assistants.
* Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to peers and leadership‑level colleagues.
