John Deere is recognised as the leading manufacturer of agricultural and turf machinery. The machinery today is adapting to the changing technological advances, and is packed with remote connected diagnostic tools. This job will allow you to enhance your technical abilities as well as your understanding of modern Turf Customers, whilst working for a highly successful business.
Essential duties include:
* Perform diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment, including AMS products.
* Completes all reports and administration required for work assignments (Job cards, DTAC cases, Service app time logging etc.)
* Maintains a clean work station, assists with overall wokshop organisation and correct use of tools and vehicles
* Follows all Health and Safety rules and regulations
* Participates in Service Training Certification programmes required for the development of skills and knowledge
* Performs pre-delivery set up on new equipment
* Mentors apprentices
* Supports Service Specialists when required
Skills and Qualifications
* Experience performing service repairs
* Ability to perform repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment whilst following approved technical procedures
* Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems to aid in the repair of agricultural equipment
* Ability to use standard computer applications, internet functions and John Deere Service Advisor
* Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
* Good customer relationship skills
* Familiar with John Deere and competitive products (preferred but not essential)
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Minimum LTA 2 certification level or comparable to John Deere scale
* Driving License
* Forklift ticket (preferred but not essential)
* Ability to work extended hours and weekends when required
