Paradigm Housing Group is seeking a skilled and adaptable Multiskilled Carpentrty Repairs Technician to join our Property Services team. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in carpentry and plumbing, along with additional trade skills, who takes pride in delivering high quality maintenance work to our residents.
About the Role
You will carry out day to day repairs and maintenance across our housing portfolio, working independently and to a high standard. The role requires expertise in at least three trades, with carpentry and plumbing as the primary focus. You will be responsible for completing jobs efficiently, ensuring first time fixes wherever possible, and maintaining excellent customer care throughout.
If successful, you’ll be provided with a company van and fuel card for business usage, work uniform, PPE and a table for your daily work schedule. Once you’ve completed a job, you’ll be expected to update all of the details into the table to ensure we can track and log all works completed.
This is a mobile role covering Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Oxfordshire and surrounding counties. You will be based out of two key locations:
1. Our Head Office in Wooburn Green, where you’ll attend toolbox talks, one to one meetings and company briefings
2. Our Stores Room and Depot in Chesham, which you’ll visit between site appointments to collect equipment, property packs and keys
Key responsibilities include:
3. Completing maintenance tasks across multiple trades
4. Ensuring all work meets regulatory and safety standards
5. Managing documentation and reporting accurately
6. Communicating effectively with tenants and colleagues
7. Maintaining van stock and using materials responsibly
8. Supporting apprentices or junior staff when required
9. Participating in the out of hours on call rota
About You: We are looking for someone who is confident working independently and as part of a team. You will have:
10. A relevant qualification (City and Guilds or NVQ) or equivalent experience
11. Strong skills in carpentry and plumbing, with additional trade experience
12. A good understanding of building regulations and health and safety requirements
13. Excellent communication and time management skills
14. A full valid driving licence
15. A commitment to delivering outstanding service to our residents.
