A new Financial Controller role near Southampton pays up to £80K Your new company A high-growth and forward-thinking organisation, known for its innovative outlook and dynamic approach to what they do, is now seeking a permanent Financial Controller to join the team. Your new role Reporting to the Finance Director, you will take day‑to‑day ownership of all aspects of the company’s financial operations. It is a hands‑on position that works closely with both internal and external stakeholders and will play a key part in building the finance function as the business continues to grow. Responsibilities include managing and preparing management accounts and financial reports, handling VAT returns and leading cash flow forecasting and treasury management. It will contribute to annual budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting, and oversee R&D project cost tracking in partnership with the Senior Leadership Team. The position is also responsible for developing robust financial controls aligned to the company’s growth and providing company secretarial support. What you'll need to succeed You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with experience leading and developing finance teams. Strong systems capability is essential, and familiarity with modern cloud‑based accounting platforms is advantageous. You will be comfortable operating in dynamic, fast‑paced environments and communicating confidently with senior stakeholders across the business. Your background will include exposure to complex, multi‑stakeholder organisations where accuracy, commercial insight and effective financial governance are critical.
