Within the Care in the Home division, we support children with complex health needs to live at home with their families.
We'd like you to join us as a Children's Support Worker at our young clients home in Midhurst (Please note due to the rural location of the clients home, you will need to be a driver with a car to get there).
When you'll be working:
* Every Saturday (8am-8pm)
* We also have morning shifts available during the school holidays (non-term time), as they have additional hours to use during the school holidays to help get him up in the mornings / take him out in the mornings
* You can be recruited for either 1 or both of the above shift types, depending on your availability
Please note that before starting you must be available to do a 2 week training course during the weekdays (Monday-Friday)
What you'll be doing:
This role is to support a teenage boy with spina bifida in his family home (our client lives at home with his nan, grandad, two brothers and their cocker spaniel dog), and taking him out and about to places such as the equine centre / the park etc. This will involve supporting with moving and handling including hoisting and supporting with personal care. You must hold a full UK drivers licence as part of the role is to drive the clients mobility van to take him out. As well as visiting the equine centre, our client loves colouring and playing card games.
Full training, shadow shifts and ongoing support will be provided.
