About the Role
We are hiring an analytically rigorous Digital Marketing Manager with a sharp editorial eye and a genuine feel for how audiences move through a brand. Sitting within the Global Marketing team, you will own the digital touchpoints that drive engagement across the full member and subscriber lifecycle, from acquisition through to loyalty. You will think strategically about CRM and paid media, write with a strong editorial instinct, and develop leadership skills inside a globally recognised cultural brand. This is a full-time, permanent role and candidates must be based in London. We operate a hybrid schedule; details will be discussed during the interview process.
What Success Looks Like
* A high-performing email lifecycle infrastructure is in place, with automated journeys that drive consistent, measurable engagement across VIP, member, and subscriber databases
* Membership and subscription acquisition and renewal targets are met or exceeded, supported by well-segmented audiences and timely, on-brand communications
* Paid media campaigns across Meta and Google are set up, optimised, and reported on with confidence, contributing to Friezes global reach and revenue goals
* Monthly analytics reports are delivered on time, with clear insights that lead to tangible improvements in campaign performance
* Your direct report is well-supported, growing in their role, and delivering excellent membership data stewardship and customer service
What Youll Own
Growth & Lifecycle Marketing
* Write and deploy engaging monthly and pre-fair newsletters to Frieze Connect members and prospects, in a voice that reflects Friezes editorial identity
* Own the health of Mailchimp automated journeys — welcome series, renewal flows, and integrations — ensuring they run flawlessly with the support of technical partners
* Manage audience segmentation so the right message reaches the right person at the right time, across invitations, renewals, and step-up communications
* Deliver monthly reports on membership and subscription KPIs, translating data into actionable optimisations
* Manage annual marketing budgets for Frieze Connect, subscriptions, and Frieze Magazine promotion
Paid Performance & Creative
* Build and manage paid campaigns across Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Google Ads (Search/Display), and partner platforms — including campaigns serving Friezes advertising partners
* Brief the design team on creative assets and write sharp, conversion-focused ad copy
People Management
* Line manage the Senior Membership Services Executive, providing clear direction on data stewardship, customer service priorities, and day-to-day activities
* Create an environment where your direct report receives regular feedback and has real opportunities to grow
What You Bring
* Mid-level experience in lifecycle, loyalty, or CRM marketing — with a solid understanding of acquisition, conversion, retention, and loyalty strategies
* Hands-on experience with Mailchimp or similar ESPs, Meta Ads Manager, and Google Ads
* Strong copywriting skills, with the ability to adapt tone across newsletters, automated emails, and paid ad copy
* A data-literate mindset — comfortable managing audience lists, reading campaign analytics, and handling budgets
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities without dropping the ball
* A collaborative, clear communicator who builds strong relationships across teams and with external partners
* An interest in art, culture, or the events industry is a genuine plus
