Connex Education is supporting a primary special school in Wakefield in appointing a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant.
About the school
The school is located in Wakefield with two sites. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be based at one site, supporting teachers and children with needs such as SEMH, speech, language and communication difficulties, ADHD, and autism. The school seeks passionate individuals committed to helping pupils achieve their best.
Assignment details
This is a long-term assignment from September 2025 to January 2026, working 32.5 hours per week.

Person Specification
* Experience supporting pupils with special needs in a school or similar setting
* Team Teach certification: desirable but not essential (opportunities to complete this are available)
* Confidence in managing challenging behaviour
* Current DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
