The Role
We are looking for passionate, patient-focused individuals interested in a career as an NHS 111 Health Advisor in the Norwich area. The ideal candidate will be calm, professional, and empathetic.
Main duties of the job
As a Health Advisor at IC24, when our patients dial 111, you will be the first point of contact as the voice at the end of the line. It will be up to you to deliver time-critical advice, triaging a wide range of calls and providing safe, effective assessments and non-clinical advice using the NHS Pathways System. Emotional resilience is an essential skill; you will need to think quickly but clearly whilst typing detailed notes on our system. Calls within this role can vary from repeat prescription requests to distressed suicidal patients. Do you have the resilience to overcome difficult situations such as these?
About us
A high-quality onboarding and a robust training programme are on offer, and we proactively encourage and support our Health Advisors to progress through the ranks as a Non-Clinical Coach, Service Manager, or Team Manager where possible. We also offer development opportunities through our nationally recognised patient service qualification programme, Aspire to Excellence.
Job responsibilities
The role involves being the first point of contact for patients calling NHS 111, delivering time-critical advice, triaging calls, and providing assessments and advice using the NHS Pathways System. Emotional resilience and clear thinking are essential, as calls can involve sensitive situations such as prescription requests or distressed patients.
