Spinal Homecare Lune Valley is seeking to recruit a Domiciliary Care Manager to join its small team based at its head office in Kendal, Cumbria overseeing clients and staff based in the Lune Valley area.
As a care manager, you'll be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations, including recruiting and managing staff, and ensuring that the quality of the services provided meets national care standards. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate excellent personal and managerial skills, as well as relevant experience in the field. They will also be self-managing, flexible, able to deal with changing situations, and able to point to previous experience that demonstrates these abilities. The role of the Domiciliary Care Manager is to assist the Director by
* Ensuring that SHC Lune Valley quality of care and support is of a high standard, complying with CQC minimum standards & ISO regulations.
* Providing a supportive environment for service specifiers, clients, and staff
* Liaising with Social Services and CCGs at regular meetings, and with professional bodies, staff, family, and friends who are important to our service users
* Carry out service-user assessments and inspections
* Reporting on company performance and making recommendations on improvements to service delivery at monthly Meetings
* Managing a staff team of support workers and carers, including day-to-day line management, supervision, rostering, performance management, and delivering in-house training
* Covering staff's annual leave and sickness
* Being on-call
* Generating new business and referrals
Requirements:
* Have or be willing to work towards achieving an, RMA/QCF level 5 Registered Manager's Award.
* IT competence; Knowledge of CareFree/ The PASS System or similar rostering programs
* You must be a car driver, your own vehicle with business insurance. Mileage paid when working in the field.
