Prestwick Aircraft Maintenance Ltd (PAML) is one of six heavy aircraft maintenance providers for our client Ryanair, carrying out maintenance on Ryanair’s entire fleet of New Generation Boeing 737-800 series aircraft at our Hangar facility located at Prestwick International Airport, Ayrshire, Scotland.
Ryanair is Europe’s favourite low fares airline, operating more than 3,300 daily flights from over 90 bases, connecting 230 destinations in over 37 countries and operating a fleet of over 570 Boeing 737 aircraft.
As part of our growth plan, we are seeking to recruit Trainee Aircraft Mechanics for our 12-week training program with intakes throughout 2025.
The Trainee Aircraft Mechanic program is open to all. It offers candidates the opportunity to upskill and pursue a career as a licensed Aircraft Engineer, earning up to £86k per year.
Key duties include:
* Carrying out maintenance tasks as required and allocated with minimal supervision
* Maintaining high standards of work in all tasks
* Completing all necessary documentation accurately
* Complying with company procedures, policies, regulations, and MOE
* Maintaining a safe and clean working environment
* Adhering to the company Health and Safety policies
* Performing additional tasks as directed by Supervisor / Manager

Requirements
* Previous aircraft maintenance experience is desirable but not essential
* HNC / HND or equivalent qualification in engineering or mechanical studies is essential
* A background in engineering or maintenance is essential
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn are required
* Excellent spoken and written English is essential
* Willingness to work shifts, including nights
* Flexible approach to working in a dynamic environment
* Successful candidates must provide a clean Disclosure Scotland check to work at UK airports
