About the Role: Are you passionate about Engineering ? Looking for a new challenge? Do you have experience or qualifications in Engineering ? As an inclusive, forward-thinking business, we take pride in our approach to investing in our people across Avara Foods and are looking for a highly competent and motivated Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering Team, based at our Dudley site. The role is factory based, so you’ll be working in a fast-paced, dynamic FMCG factory environment which is noisy and refrigerated in some areas, manufacturing short shelf life products where hygiene standards are critical. As an Engineer you’ll be working Monday to Friday 15:30 to 00:00. What will you be doing as an Engineer at Avara? As a Level 2 Multi Skilled Engineer, you will be a key player in ensuring the consistent smooth running of the factory machinery including planned maintenance and reactive repairs, in more than one area of the factory, building experience and knowledge of specific manufacturing machinery. What will your key responsibilities as an Engineer include? • Performing reactive breakdown repairs in more than one area of the factory. • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance. • Communicating any unscheduled downtime to Engineering and Operations management. • Improving equipment reliability, stamping out recurring faults and suggesting areas for future improvement. What you’ll need to be successful: • Formal Engineering or Maintenance Qualifications. • Alternatively, ability to practically demonstrate competence in completing engineering tasks at the required level. • Ability to diagnose and rectify equipment faults and failures. • Previous experience within the food or FMCG industry would be beneficial.
