AA Euro Group is looking for an experienced Senior Engineer to join our specialist civil engineering contractor delivering major critical infrastructure works across the Birmingham and Coventry region.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate all engineering activities across assigned project areas.
Provide technical support to site teams and subcontractors.
Interpret and review drawings, specifications, and design information.
Ensure setting out and surveying activities are completed accurately.
Oversee quality control procedures and ensure compliance with project specifications.
Prepare and review RAMS, ITPs, and engineering documentation.
Support project planning, sequencing, and programme management.
Liaise with design teams, clients, subcontractors, and site management.
Monitor progress and report on engineering and site performance.
Identify and resolve technical issues efficiently to avoid delays.
Ensure works are delivered in line with health & safety regulations and company standards.
Mentor and support junior engineers and site staff where required.
Requirements
Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
Proven experience in a Senior Engineer role within civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
Strong technical knowledge of:
Earthworks
Drainage
Reinforced concrete works
Utilities
Roads and infrastructure packages
Experience working on critical infrastructure, energy, utility, industrial, or mission critical projects preferred.
Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures and site documentation.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
CSCS card required.
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Experience
Previous experience on substation, energy, water, or data centre infrastructure projects.
Temporary works coordination exposure.
Familiarity with GPS surveying equipment and engineering software.
