An established and well-regarded high street law firm is seeking an experienced and proactive Residential Conveyancing Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer to join its small but growing property team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated legal professional who enjoys handling matters from instruction through to completion, building strong client relationships, and working within a traditional, client-focused environment where quality and care are prioritised.
The Role
You will manage a varied caseload of residential property matters independently, delivering high-quality, compliant conveyancing services while maintaining exceptional client care standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters, including:
Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
Remortgages
Transfers of equity
New build transactions
Help to Buy and shared ownership matters
Draft, review, and advise on contracts, title documents, searches, and reports
Ensure compliance with regulatory and lender requirements
Liaise effectively with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, brokers, local authorities, and other solicitors
Manage SDLT submissions, AP1 applications, and Land Registry requirements
Maintain meticulous file management in line with Solicitors Regulation Authority regulations
Identify and mitigate transactional risks, escalating issues where appropriate
Build and maintain strong relationships with local agents and referrersAbout You
Qualified Solicitor (minimum 2+ PQE), Licensed Conveyancer, or Legal Executive
Valid practising certificate (required)
Minimum 2 years’ experience in residential conveyancing
Strong technical knowledge of conveyancing processes and lender panel requirements
Ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision
Excellent drafting, communication, and client care skills
Proficient with case management systems and digital conveyancing tools
