About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fostering Social Worker to join a well-supported service based in Selby. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable team where manageable caseloads (20-24) allow you to focus on delivering meaningful, high-quality support to foster carers and children.
You will play a key role in the recruitment, assessment and ongoing support of foster carers, ensuring carers are equipped to provide safe, nurturing environments where children can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
* Support, supervise and develop foster carers
* Complete fostering assessments (Form F) and annual reviews
* Work in partnership with internal teams and external agencies
* Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people
* Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records
Requirements
* Qualified Social Worker (Social Work England registered)
* Minimum 3+ years' post-qualified permanent experience (essential to meet DfE regulations)
* Experience within fostering or children's services
* Strong assessment and relationship-building skills
* Ability to manage a caseload effectively while maintaining quality practice
