🏢 About the Company
We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and scale Azure-based platform infrastructure. This is a hands-on engineering role, focused on building environments from scratch, not just maintaining existing systems.
You will join an in-house platform team, working with minimal reliance on third-party vendors, enabling full ownership of platform engineering and delivery.

* Role: Senior Platform Engineer (Contract)
* Type: Outside IR35
* Duration: 6 months (rolling, with potential extension or permanent conversion)
* Location: Remote (UK)
* Start Date: 1–2 weeks
🚀 Responsibilities
* Design and build an Azure-based cloud platform infrastructure
* Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
* Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions)
* Work across Azure PaaS and IaaS services
* Build and support containerised platforms (AKS / Azure Container Apps)
* Contribute to system design and architectural decisions
* Support cloud migration initiatives (on-prem → Azure)
* Ensure scalability, performance optimisation, and security best practices
* Enable internal teams through a self-service platform approach
âś… Qualifications
* Strong experience in Azure platform engineering
* Proven hands-on experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code) Including modular, enterprise-grade implementations
* Experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines or GitHub Actions
* Experience working with Azure PaaS and IaaS services
* Demonstrated experience building platforms/environments from scratch
* Strong understanding of:
* System design
* Scalability and performance tuning
* Cloud security principles
* Experience with container platforms (AKS, Azure Container Apps)
