Join Buckinghamshire College Group as a part-time Student Services Advisor at our vibrant Aylesbury Campus. This role plays a vital part in supporting students' financial, health, wellbeing and welfare needs, helping them to succeed throughout their college journey. You will provide advice, guidance and practical support to students, administer financial support schemes, liaise with internal teams and external agencies, and contribute to initiatives that promote student wellbeing and enrichment across the College. Location: Aylesbury Contract: Part-time (15 hrs per week on Mondays and Tuesdays / 52 weeks) As a Student Services Advisor, you will: Provide and promote a wide range of student welfare, wellbeing and support services, including pastoral support, sexual health advice, housing guidance and benefits advice. Act as an advocate, coach and mentor to students as required. Serve as a key point of contact for students, parents, carers and external agencies regarding student finance, wellbeing and welfare matters. Build and maintain strong community partnerships, including with schools, health services and under-represented groups, to support students and promote the work of the College. Work closely with the Director of Student Services to plan, implement and monitor student enrichment activities and student voice initiatives. Administer, co‑ordinate and promote the College Support Scheme, including: Processing applications Approving and recording payments Liaising with childcare providers Ensuring compliance with college policy and funding requirements Maintain accurate records on college systems in line with policy, procedures and funding body requirements. Administer equipment loans to students. Design and deliver initiatives and projects that promote student wellbeing at all stages of the student journey. Provide holistic support and refer students to appropriate internal teams and external agencies. Support the College in maintaining MATRIX accreditation standards. Assist with student enrolment and induction activities. Attend and contribute to team meetings and curriculum meetings on a regular basis.
