Job Overview:
As a Support Worker at Arise Housing, you will play a crucial role in supporting our residents' personal growth and well-being. You will provide practical assistance, guidance, and emotional support, helping tenants develop life skills and maintain their independence in a secure, supportive environment. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing flexibility between on-site visits and remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct weekly support sessions with each tenant to monitor progress and provide guidance on personal goals.
Assist residents with life skills development, such as budgeting, cooking, and maintaining their living space.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of support sessions and tenant progress.
Identify and address any safeguarding concerns promptly, following company procedures.
Support tenants with employment readiness, including job applications, CV writing, and interview preparation.
Collaborate with external agencies, healthcare professionals, and social services to ensure comprehensive support.
Assist with community engagement activities and encourage residents to participate in fitness classes, workshops, and social events.
Ensure properties meet health and safety standards, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
Promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment for all residents.
Requirements:
Previous experience in supported housing, social care, or a similar role is essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with residents.
Empathy, patience, and the ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple caseloads independently.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care.
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and best practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintaining digital records.
A valid driving licence and access to a car is essential for this role, as travel between properties is required.
