Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated Clinical Psychologist/Psychotherapist/CBT Therapist with experience working alongside therapists from different modalities to provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation and treatment to clients across a range of care settings within a multi-disciplinary team. You will work with a wide variety of client groups across the life course, supporting adaptations for a diverse population in Leeds.
You will work collaboratively with the wider team, including primary care and voluntary sector services, collect outcome measures, and contribute to project work to support ongoing service developments. You will play a large role in supporting the team by delivering psychologically informed information and trauma information, guiding reflective practice, clinical case discussions, and supervising psychologically informed interventions.
We are looking for someone to support the creative development of the team with awareness of clinical governance and a commitment to providing the highest standard of care for the population we serve. You will lead by example, drawing on your psychological approach(es) and communicating effectively to support clients, families, carers, and colleagues within our partnership organisations.
Leeds community and wellbeing services are multidisciplinary groups providing specialist community-focused mental health services to working-age adults. Psychological practitioners contribute to specialist assessment and interventions and support clinical thinking and decision making, as well as supervision, consultation and training.
The Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT) is the main provider of Mental Health and Learning Disability services in Leeds, with specialist inpatient services in York and other nationwide services. Key duties include providing specialist psychological assessments, formulations and treatment plans; delivering therapeutic interventions for individuals with complex mental health needs; supervising and training other psychologists and mental health professionals; contributing to service development; and promoting psychologically informed approaches within the team and across the wider service.
