Job Title: Data Protection Officer Location: Burntisland- Hybrid Working Start Date: ASAP Pay: £230 day rate DOE Job Type: Fixed-Term Contract Duration: Until 31st October initially- possibility of extensions Hours: Monday to Friday- Up to 40 hours per week Responsibilities: Develop and implement data protection policies aligned with GDPR, PECR, and other applicable regulations. Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to embed compliant data practices. Lead training initiatives to promote a strong data protection culture organisation wide. Conduct audits and risk assessments, updating policies as regulations evolve. Manage data subject rights requests and oversee breach response processes. Serve as the main contact for regulatory bodies and privacy-related enquiries. Requirements: Proven track record in a Data Protection Officer role or similar position focused on data privacy and compliance. In-depth knowledge of UK GDPR, PECR, and other applicable data protection laws and regulations. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement data protection policies and procedures from the ground up. Strong communication skills, with the confidence to engage, educate, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
