Job Description: Data Protection Lead Crewe, Cheshire - onsite Likewize is looking for an experienced Data Protection Lead (DPL) to manage the UK / EU data protection compliance programme. Position Summary As a key member of Likewize’s Global Risk and Compliance team, the DPL will be directly responsible for the execution of the privacy compliance programme in the EMEA region. You will also assist the Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer in rolling out the programme in other regions such as US&C and APAC. Duties include: Managing the privacy compliance framework across the UK / EU business, and regularly reviewing its effectiveness. Serving as the primary point of contact for all data protection matters across UK / EU. Assisting the Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer with the maintenance of the global privacy programme. Managing a small team of Privacy Compliance Specialists, including supporting their development through training and coaching. Assisting with the governance and coordination of the UK’s ISO 27001 certification. Working with the Cybersecurity Risk team to conduct relevant information security monitoring and testing. Liaising with the UK / EU Supervisory Authorities, managing registration requirements (inc. acting as the named DPO for Likewize’s German entity). Reviewing vendor and customer contracts, in conjunction with UK and Corp. Legal, ensuring that data protection risk is adequately identified and managed. Assisting the business with responses to RFPs, due diligence and customer audits. Developing and delivering regular face-to-face training and eLearning modules to stakeholders across the business. Developing and maintaining Records of Processing Activities and other required documentation. Managing the global privacy management platform (OneTrust). Respecting the value of information by following Likewize's data protection / information security policies and procedures. Job Requirements Essential: Three to five years of experience in a relevant data protection role, with recent experience in a senior / lead role. Expert knowledge of UK / EU data protection legislation, case law and regulatory best practice. Previous responsibility for executing a data protection compliance programme, or significant elements of a programme. Experience with implementing / maintaining OneTrust, or similar data protection tool. Experience of ISO 27001 / information security. Desirable: Data protection / privacy qualifications (e.g. CIPP/E, CIPM, C-DPO, BCS, etc.) Experience of line management / developing talent. Experience in financial services, telecoms, tech. Experience of PCI DSS / DORA / wider InfoSec frameworks. Experience of / exposure to privacy regulations in other jurisdictions (Dubai, US&C, APAC, India, etc.) What do we offer?
