About The Role FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a VP Sourcing Manager to work for our client within the Banking & Financial Services sector. This is a 6 month contract and will be a hybrid role based in Glasgow, Knutsford/Manchester, or Northampton. Our client is seeking a senior sourcing professional to lead a complex, high‑visibility commercial programme connected to the divestment of a Consumer Bank. This role will lead sourcing strategy, commercial negotiations, compliance oversight, and cross‑functional stakeholder engagement to ensure all extensions are delivered by end of 2026. Responsibilities: • Lead end‑to‑end sourcing strategy, commercial planning, and execution for contract extension negotiations across ~80 suppliers. • Partner with senior stakeholders to define requirements, align sourcing strategy to business priorities, and ensure regulatory and policy compliance. • Drive and lead negotiations, RFP/RFX processes, commercial modelling, and contractual decision-making. • Oversee governance, controls, regulatory engagement, audit readiness, and data integrity across all sourcing activity. • Identify and implement improvements to sourcing processes, buying channels, and operational efficiency across relevant categories. About You • Deep experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or commercial/vendor management within a large, complex organisation (banking/financial services strongly preferred). • Expertise in running negotiations, RFP/RFX cycles, commercial structuring, and contract lifecycle management. • Strong stakeholder leadership skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage cross‑functional alignment. • Knowledge of governance, policy, regulatory and audit requirements within a highly controlled environment. • Proficiency with sourcing and procurement tools, Excel (advanced), PowerPoint, and contract management platforms. • Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in procurement, sourcing strategy, commercial negotiations, vendor management, or a similar discipline.
