Your new role
1. Teaching engaging lessons that keep pupils involved and progressing, even when you’re stepping into a class for a short period.
2. Settling quickly into different school routines and expectations, bringing your own calm, confident approach to each day.
3. Working from each school’s planning and curriculum guidance, using your professional judgement to support pupils at all levels.
4. Building positive relationships with pupils and staff, and managing behaviour in a fair, consistent way.
5. Bringing flexibility, reliability and a positive attitude to every placement, helping each school run smoothly while you’re there.
What you'll need to succeed
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
7. Experience teaching in primary settings, ideally with confidence in Year 3 or across KS2.
8. Strong behaviour management and the ability to build rapport quickly with new classes.
9. Secure curriculum knowledge and the confidence to deliver high‑quality lessons, even with limited preparation time.
10. Clearmunication skills and a proactive, adaptable approach when working with different schools and teams.
