Sense Birmingham, United Kingdom. This is a permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week. The position is for a Deputy Care Manager at a CQC registered service in Handsworth Wood, Birmingham. The role involves supporting the Registered Care Manager in providing high-quality, personalised care to individuals.
As a Deputy Care Manager, you will deliver 15 hours of direct support as a Support Worker and 22.5 hours of office time for staff management tasks, such as creating rotas and mentoring Support Workers.
Responsibilities
* Support individuals with vision/hearing difficulties, communication challenges, and complex needs.
* Assist the Registered Care Manager with day-to-day care management and staff supervision.
* Contribute to rostering, mentoring, and ensuring high-quality care delivery.
Requirements
* Full UK manual licence essential — company vehicles are used to drive and take individuals to appointments, activities outside of the home, and trips.
* Prior experience in a Social Care setting (Community/Residential/Supported Living) is essential.
* Knowledge of multiple sensory impairments, physical and/or learning disabilities is desirable.
