This is a customer-facing role with the core function providing IT support. You will be involved in the day-to-day running of the IT Department, which includes liaising with all departments and delivering clear communication when managing IT queries. The IT Technician is directly managed by the IT & Resources Manager. The College is predominantly an MS Windows-based site with a small number of Macs. The College is a full BYOD site and uses Office 365 and Firefly for our VLE.
Responsibilities
* Providing technical support as required by the IT Manager and IT Team
* Supporting customer queries received via the support line, email and face-to-face
* Maintaining audio/visual equipment to a very high standard (once trained) for continuous use
* Facilitating and supporting events hosted by the College by assembling equipment and managing recording and live streaming sessions
* Ordering, receiving, stock checking and distributing stationery and resources
* Supporting the team to manage the Reprographics room, MFDs and printers
* Travelling around campus to support IT issues and queries
* Supporting the team to manage College electronic signage
* Administration of IT lost property and managing recycling
* Logging tickets, assigning jobs to team members and completing first-time fixes for customers
