I am looking for a Technical Host to work with my client hosting training courses which are held on Zoom. They are run throughout the year and are two or three day courses. The three day courses run on a Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Friday, Saturday, Sunday, so weekend work is a must. The two day courses normally run on a Thursday & Friday.
To facilitate these full day sessions you would need to commit to the full course and you would need a quiet space to work with no interruptions as concentration and focus is a must. You need to be very organised and present when hosting to ensure smooth running at all times. For each course you would be required to join an alignment call with the leaders in the week leading up to a course. This is so that you can ask any questions you have and to understand the breakout rooms/timeline steps. This is normally around 90-120 minutes.
The Role
You will be a virtual tech host and you will be required to take care of the technical aspects of the course, attendance, chat, breakout rooms, sharing of presentations, virtual whiteboard sharing, broadcasting messages, keeping time during breakouts, and ensuring the course runs as smoothly as possible by assisting the Leaders. You will mainly be off camera and on mute, however you will at times be required to go on camera and speak to participants if support is needed.
The courses run from 8:30am-5:00pm for participants. You would be required to be available for an hour before and 30/45 minutes at the end. The participants receive a 90 minute lunch break and you receive 1 hour. There is also a morning and afternoon break, however you will be required at times to meet with leaders during the breaks for a few minutes.
What will you receive
* Full training on the virtual platforms used
* Full training on the whiteboards we use
* Team meetings to share best practice, tips etc
* Full support from me throughout
Hours
Hours will vary per month. Multiple courses are held each month with the exception of August & December when no courses run. Currently I cover all courses but I need a host to join to spread the load. Depending on the course you host you would be looking at around 20 hours for a two day course and 30 hours for a three day course. You would invoice on an ad-hoc basis after each course.
