About The Role
Lead, shape and develop how Religious Education is taught across the Academy, ensuring alignment to Trust principles and the reliability and validity of data. This is a key appointment in the school’s development and the successful applicant will play an integral role in the growth and development of the Academy. The successful candidate will be a model of professionalism, a dynamic team player and an outstanding practitioner in their own right.
* Lead, shape and develop how Religious Education is taught across the Academy, ensuring alignment to Trust principles and the reliability and validity of data.
* Play a full and active role in ensuring that Academy policies are adhered to and implemented in an effective manner.
* Ensure that teaching is broad, balanced, relevant, motivational and appropriately differentiated in order to maximise the academic potential of all students.

About The Department
The Humanities Department is a thriving department in the school with diverse team of teachers who pride themselves on being excellent practitioners and team players. Direct instruction, modelling and guidance fading underpin how the Humanities team teach. This is something we are proud of and believe it has lead to securing 0.8 Progress 8 score in 2022. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, committed to continuous professional development and passionate about their subject.

Who We Are Looking For
* Excellent classroom practitioner with demonstrable experience of raising standards
* Experience of successful delivery of the Religious Education curriculum across KS3
* Experience helping students to overcome significant barriers to learning
