Equans is seeking a Fabric Engineer to join our team on the HMCTS contract, covering Telford and surrounding areas. This is a full-time, permanent role, working 40 hours per week. The salary offered is £28,000 per annum, along with an excellent benefits package.
We are looking for a reliable and skilled Fabric Engineer to support our facilities management team. Your role will involve maintaining various building fabrics and engineering assets, ensuring safety, functionality, and visual standards are upheld.
Responsibilities include:
1. Performing planned and reactive maintenance on diverse assets
2. Conducting Legionella control and monitoring, including tap flushing
3. Inspecting and repairing floors, ceilings, walls, doors (including Fire Doors), windows, and furniture
4. Carrying out plumbing, drainage, and lighting maintenance
5. Painting, decorating, and installing signage or notices
6. Assisting with broader maintenance tasks
7. Supervising subcontractors on site
8. Ensuring safety protocols are followed using PPE, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments
9. Updating work tickets in CAFM systems (e.g., PlanOn)
10. Maintaining cleanliness and safety in plant rooms and storage areas
11. Providing support during emergencies to maintain operational continuity
12. Flexibility in working hours and providing cover when needed

Candidate requirements:
Qualifications: NVQ or equivalent in Plumbing, Carpentry, or Decorating Services
Experience:
* Building fabric maintenance in construction or facilities management
* Fire door inspection and maintenance
* Legionella control techniques
* Health and safety compliance
Skills:
* Problem-solving and communication skills
* Ability to work independently or in a team
* Customer-focused approach
Must be able to obtain and maintain security vetting.
