Not only have we just launched Mooncup period pads into Sainsbury’s, Boots, Holland & Barrett and Look Fantastic, but we’re also partnered with a growing range of workplaces, gyms and hotels (such as Canva, Danone, Gymshark, Claridges) to give their employees, guests and members free access in their bathrooms.
We’re looking for a strategic and commercially minded Head of Retail to drive Mooncup’s presence across grocery, pharmacy and wholesale channels in UK and abroad. This is a critical leadership role responsible for shaping and executing our sales strategy in a brand new department, delivering revenue growth, and building high-impact relationships.
Sales Strategy and Leadership:
Own and continuously refine the sales strategy to deliver against ambitious retail and wholesale monthly growth targets.
Build and manage commercial plans across grocery, drugstore, pharmacy, wholesale, and other retail outlets.
Lead forecasting, sales performance analysis, and full P&L management for all retail and wholesale activity.
Develop annual budgets and performance metrics; Lead all commercial negotiations and joint business planning with key accounts.
Collaborate closely with marketing on bespoke trade plans and in-store activations to drive visibility and sell-through.
Account Management:
Act as the strategic lead for all Mooncup accounts (national and key), nurturing strong, trust-based relationships with buyers to ensure range extensions, store expansions and NPD opportunities.
Own trade spend and promotional planning to maximise ROI whilst ensuring financial health.
Analyse market data, category trends, and performance metrics to inform strategy and unlock growth, sharing this with retailers.
Ensure excellent customer experience, account health, and consistent brand standards across all partners.
Ensure product and stock compliance across our retail footprint.
Support Product and Brand by delivering timely market, category, and buyer feedback to inform innovation and marketing strategies.
5+ years of experience in sales or commercial roles within FMCG.
~ Proven success managing national and key UK retail accounts, with strong buyer relationships and commercial acumen.
~ Analytical, data-driven, and confident in navigating P&Ls, forecasts, and category performance.
~ Entrepreneurial and self-motivated, with experience in fast-growth and high-performance environments.
~ You must have a genuine passion for our mission - we are looking for someone with a commercial head but an activist's heart, who can demonstrate their passion for health equity, sustainability, menstrual and women's health.
