We’re looking for new supported Housing Concierges to join our growing teams. Here at Home Group, we look after our vulnerable customers, including those with complex care needs. Your job will be to ensure our customers are safe, our buildings are secure and pleasant, and to maintain good relations with our neighbors.
Typical shift as a Housing Concierge
* If you want a quiet and calm night security job, then this is not for you!
* This role involves more than just monitoring CCTV or patrolling; it’s about being the first support for our customers when other teams or their support networks aren’t available.
* You will manage the health and safety of the building, patrolling to check fire doors, ensuring everything is locked and secure.
* You’ll need to think quickly and handle situations on the spot, such as investigating suspicious activity or raising the alarm to engage emergency services.
* If time permits, you may also assist with cleaning and tidying, so be prepared to handle basic cleaning tasks.

You bring
* Calmness under pressure and excellent communication skills
* Experience or interest in supporting vulnerable people, possibly from public service or military background
* Sociability, curiosity about people, and attention to behavioral changes
* Ability to recognize potential issues and intervene sensitively
* A team player who can also work independently, with support from our wider team including emergency support

Job details
* Although working nights and lone shifts, we hold regular training and team meetings.
* Proficiency in monitoring CCTV, updating records, and handing over shifts via technology is required.
* Work involves 4-night shifts from 7pm to 7am on a rolling rota.
* An Enhanced DBS check is required; we will cover the cost.
