We have an exciting job opportunity for a Playground Designer with experience of designing playgrounds for the new build housing developers. On offer is a salary of between £26,000 and £30,000, a performance based bonus scheme, career progression and the opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading playground companies as they expand their inhouse design team and be a key part of some very exciting business growth plans.
As the Playground Designer, you will be creating playground designs for the major UK House Builders, collaborating with the wider design team and working closely with senior management to ensure you gain a comprehensive understanding of their approach, design expertise, and product capabilities to enable you to use this information and your skills and experience to be successful in this role and to open up the opportunity for career progression.
As the Playground Designer you will be:
* Working closely with your colleagues to design tender winning playgrounds for many of the major UK housebuilders.
* Supporting, coaching and developing junior team members to enhance business-winning capabilities.
* Ensuring quality control and consistency in team style and pricing.
* Collaborating effectively with other departments and clients.
* Planning workload to manage volume and capacity efficiently.
Requirements
To be considered as the Playground Designer you will need the following:
* Experience of liaising with both Area Sales and Pre Sales teams.
* Strong knowledge and experience in site design, zoning, flow and value engineering.
* Expertise in meeting the specific design requirements of Housebuilders.
* Expertise in working from technical drawings with levels.
* Ability to create safety compliant layouts with a site-specific focus.
* Experience in project pricing to budget.
* Proficiency in tailoring design output to specific client and target audience.
