Learning Resource Centre Co-ordinator
Salary Grade 4 SCP5-9 £24,790 - £26,409 (Pro rata salary £11,475- £12,224)

Sir John Nelthorpe School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, organised and committed Learning Resource Centre (LRC) Co-ordinator to join our dedicated team.
This is a part-time role working 20 hours per week, during term time.
The Role:
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the development of literacy and learning across the school by ensuring effective access to a wide range of printed and digital resources.
Working closely with pupils, teaching staff, the English faculty, and the Learning Mentor for Literacy, you will champion the use of the Learning Resource Centre and actively contribute to the improvement of literacy standards and information retrieval skills among students.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting pupils in developing their literacy, research, and information handling skills.
- Providing direct assistance to staff and students in accessing and using LRC resources.
- Managing the organisation and maintenance of printed and screen-based resources, including careers and further education materials.
- Promoting a reading culture within the school in collaboration with the English faculty.
- Supporting the delivery of literacy-focused initiatives and events.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A passion for promoting literacy and independent learning.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Confidence in using ICT and digital platforms to support learning.
- Experience of working in an educational or library setting (desirable, but not essential).
- The ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
