Cancer Waiting Times Co-ordinator
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Maternity Cover, fixed term or secondment with the possibility of becoming permanent.
We are seeking a motivated individual to join the Cancer Waiting Times Team at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. You will support the Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MDT) and liaise between clinical, managerial, and Admin & Clerical staff.
This role is crucial for delivering services to cancer patients in line with national guidelines and targets.
You will learn about the MDT role and cover duties such as patient tracking and coordinating MDT meetings.

Post: Band 4, Salary: £26,530 - £29,114, Fixed-term for 12 months, Full-time, Location: Torbay Hospital.
Responsibilities include:
* liaising with clinical and managerial staff regarding cancer waiting times breaches
* ensuring timely diagnostic and treatment plans with tertiary centres
* developing good working relationships within cancer pathways
* tracking referrals and patients through their care pathway
* maintaining data systems like Infoflex
* supporting data capture and documentation
* managing communication systems for GPs and MDT meetings
Person Specification
Essential:
* GCSE level education or equivalent
* Touch typing
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office and data management principles
* Organisational and communication skills
Desirable:
* Experience as a CWT coordinator
* Knowledge of hospital systems and medical terminology
Qualifications and training
Essential:
* GCSEs (5 grade C or above) or equivalent experience
* Touch typing ability
Desirable:
* NVQ 3 in management or equivalent
