Shift Maintenance Engineer Warwickshire | £47k | 12hr shifts 7/7 4on/4off (days & nights) Electrical Bias | Recycling & Manufacturing | Hands-on Role A forward-thinking and award-winning manufacturing business is seeking a Shift Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team at a 24/7 Industrial manufacturing facility in the middle of Warwickshire. You’ll play a vital role in keeping production moving through reactive repairs, planned maintenance, and continuous improvement. The role: * Respond to and resolve machinery breakdowns safely and efficiently * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with the site schedule * Diagnose and fix electrical and mechanical faults (roughly 60/40 split) * Work on a range of equipment including extruders, shredders, washers, and wastewater systems * Own your jobs from start to finish – including accurate reporting and handovers * Support continuous improvement efforts across the plant * Maintain excellent housekeeping and contribute to a strong safety culture Candidate requirements: * A recognised engineering qualification (electrical/mechanical) * Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment * Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems * Good understanding of PPM practices * Ability to read technical drawings (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, PLCs) * A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a solid team ethic * Full UK driving licence Desirable but not essential: * Time-served apprenticeship * 18th Edition (NICEIC) * Experience with inverters, FLT licence, or plastic extrusion equipment * Familiarity with high automation / 24/7 manufacturing Candidate benefits: * c. £47k salary * Contributory company pension scheme * 23 days’ holiday (rising to 25) 8 public holidays * Cash healthcare plan * Recognition awards (Employee of the Month/Year) * Career growth in a sustainable, purpose-driven company This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-impact, sustainability-focused manufacturer that’s helping to shape the future of plastics and industrial recycling in the UK.
