New Directions Education is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our partner secondary schools in Halifax, West Yorkshire covering short and long term teacher absence. This is a long-term, part or full-time opportunity starting in September, with the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver pre-set lesson plans in the absence of the class teacher
* Manage classroom behaviour in accordance with school policies
* Support student engagement and learning
* Provide feedback on student progress and behaviour
Requirements:
* Experience working with young people, ideally in a school setting
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Confidence in managing classroom behaviour
* Flexible, proactive, and a team player
* Commitment to safeguarding children and young people
