Our homes accommodate young people with social, emotional and mental health needs. Our aim is to create the best possible outcomes for the young people in our care. Our support workers enable our young people to get their childhood back and create pathways to become well-rounded adults. There will be challenges, but there will also be many small moments that feel like big victories.

Responsibilities
* Take care of our young people day to day, ensuring things run smoothly, helping with school readiness, homework, paperwork and planning activities
* Supervise and participate in activities after school, evenings and weekends (e.g., Xbox, football, film days, go-karting) to support positive development
* Support each young person’s needs, personality and potential to guide them toward a positive future

* Salary: Base salary of £29,034 - £35,400
* Bonuses: Up to 4 sleep ins per month; paid at £80 per sleep (approx. £3,840 per year) and £1,400 Attendance Allowance (assuming good attendance)

Qualifications and qualities
* A can-do attitude and a team player mindset
* Honesty and empathy; genuine care for young people and colleagues
* Resilience to manage challenging situations
* Full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months
* If you don’t have a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), we’ll help you study and support you through the process
Training and start
You’ll begin as a Residential Support Worker by joining our Care Academy – 4 weeks of off-the-job training with experienced WG professionals.
