Control Systems Software Engineer

Role Overview:

What You’ll Be Doing:
* Designing, developing and testing control system and SCADA solutions for highly regulated environments
* Working on human-computer interface and platform management systems used in operational naval settings
* Translating customer and stakeholder requirements into robust technical solutions
* Developing and validating software on RedHat Linux-based systems
* Producing clear technical documentation in line with regulatory and internal standards
* Supporting systems throughout their operational lifecycle, including in-service capability
* Collaborating with project teams and contributing to technical reviews and briefings
Main Skills Needed:
* Experience developing software within SCADA environments using languages such as C#, C++ or VB
* Strong hands-on knowledge of RedHat Linux
* Understanding of software development lifecycles and regulated engineering processes
* Background in defence, maritime, aerospace, or another safety-critical industrial sector
* Qualification (degree, HNC/HND or equivalent) in Software, Systems, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering
* Ability to gain and maintain UK SC security clearance
* Nice to have: Experience with Siemens WinCC Open Architecture (OA)
