Job Purpose
Working in our busy Supply Chain team based in our Head Office in Amersham, you will be responsible for managing the flow of export documentation for all International shipments. You will be working closely with other departments including buying, quality assurance, finance and our international operations and merchandising teams.
You will be a commercially aware individual that has previous experience within a relevant export environment and has the ability to quickly gain a good understanding of systems and processes as well as strong communication skills. You will need to combine your commercial knowledge and awareness of our International operations with a natural ability to build working relationships to deliver a first-class service to our partners.
Responsibilities
1. Responsible for producing necessary export documentation for all International shipments leaving our Distribution Centers.
2. Responsible to organise Import from EU.
3. Working with relevant internal teams to collate key information from the necessary departments to ensure the smooth dispatch of goods.
4. Liaising with DC’s, shipping companies and international partners to organise collection of goods.
5. Responsible for communicating any amendments or shipment delays to relevant partners and internal departments.
6. Manage collections from the DC to ensure outbound workflow is phased in line with overall outbound operations.
7. Build and maintain strong working relationships with international partners/shippers.
8. Ensure all export documentation is produced in line with UK customs requirements to enable tracking of international shipments.
9. Contributing to develop business export & import processes.
10. Other ad hoc duties such as analysis and reporting.
Skills & Experience
11. Ideally minimum of one year’s exposure in a relevant export operation.
12. Understanding of export documentation requirements.
13. Commercially aware with strong organisational skills.
14. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
15. Ability to independently manage your workload as well as work closely with other members of the team.
16. Excellent working knowledge of Excel (Intermediate level)
17. Excellent administration skills, quality driven and attentive to detail.
18. A good team player who understands the need to work together and support colleagues.
