The requirements for this role include:
1. Handle highly confidential matters and materials with discretion.
2. Support improvements in communication, auditing, monitoring, or enforcement of compliance standards as needed and support operationalization of related processes.
3. Support compliance initiatives and projects.
4. Perform testing of compliance controls.
5. Maintain the compliance issue inventory and monitor the appropriate remediation activities.
6. Support efforts including the development of after-actions reports, identification of best practices, lessons learned, and monitoring gaps and action items.
7. Track and monitor policy management adherence across the enterprise.
8. Develop and maintain compliance with Key Operating Procedures and support automation processes in the GRC system. Support the creation and distribution of training and change management communications.
9. Support creation and distribution of compliance materials and support training as appropriate for employees and, as directed, external stakeholders conducting work on behalf of CFA Institute (e.g., Board of Governors, other volunteer groups, and societies).
10. Create content and work with internal partners to deliver training using Computer Based Training (CBT) modules; identify opportunities to conduct in-person training as needed.
11. Create reports and track progress toward completion of mandatory employee training.
The skills and experience required for this role include:
12. Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience; 2-4 years demonstrated compliance experience.
13. Business fluency in English is essential. Additional language proficiency preferred (Mandarin, French, Arabic, Hindi, Spanish, etc.)
14. Ability to work independently and with a team on assignments while multitasking and meeting deadlines.
15. Willingness to ask questions rather than just follow directions is required.
16. Demonstrate integrity and ability to maintain principles under internal and/or external pressure.
17. Very high level of organizational and time management skills.
18. High level of competency in juggling competing priorities and changing expectations.
19. Excellent consulting, problem-solving, and analytical skills; skilled in turning complex data into compelling and easy-to-understand concepts.
20. Experience in project management, with skills necessary to interpret what is needed for the success of a project and to create appropriate schedules for timely delivery.
21. Must demonstrate outstanding judgment and mature business skills with the ability to establish a strong rapport with senior management.
