Our client is seeking a motivated and skilled planning professional to join their Council Planning Service as a Senior Planning Officer. The Planning Team is dedicated to creating sustainable, vibrant communities with a focus on people and place. As a Senior Planning Officer, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality planning service. You will work closely with the Principal Planning Officer and Development Management Lead to support a positive, high-performing planning team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage a range of planning applications, including minor and major developments.
2. Provide planning advice to internal stakeholders, developers, members, and residents.
3. Attend and present at planning committee meetings as necessary.
4. Collaborate across levels to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.
Previous experience in a development management environment is required for this role.
This position is part of a shared role within the Councils Partnership, in accordance with the S113 agreement between the participating councils, as per the Memorandum of Agreement dated 1st October 2021.
