NES Fircroft are currently working with a prominent Oilfield Services company, who are looking for a Workshop Engineer to join their team in Westhill, Aberdeenshire on a permanent basis. The Workshop Engineer plays a key role in supporting the Workshop Manager by helping oversee daily operations and coordinating workloads to ensure all project requirements are met and quality standards are exceeded. While the role is primarily based in the UK, the successful candidate will also contribute to activities globally, which may include occasional overseas assignments.
Responsibilities:
Maintain, calibrate, and ensure all survey equipment is in optimal working condition, with accurate records of status, calibration, and movement.
Assist in the preparation and testing of equipment systems to confirm full operational readiness before mobilisation
Assist in prioritising workshop activities to ensure timely preparation of equipment to meet project requirements.
Participate in the mobilisation, setup, and operation of survey systems, ensuring all necessary spares, consumables, test equipment, and documentation are included
Track and support the movement of survey equipment to and from vessels.
Requirements:
Qualified to degree level or HND in Electronics or Engineering (or recognised apprenticeship).
Willingness to travel, including overseas assignments.
