Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines to produce precise components, primarily metal parts. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in machining processes. The ideal applicant will possess knowledge of CAD software, tooling, and hand tools, ensuring high-quality output in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
* Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to produce components according to specifications.
* Interpret technical drawings and CAD files using SolidWorks and other CAD software.
* Perform grinding, milling, and other machining operations to achieve desired tolerances.
* Use hand tools, power tools, and tooling to assemble parts or modify components as needed.
* Ensure all work complies with safety standards and quality requirements.
* Maintain accurate documentation of production activities and machine settings.
* Assist in the optimisation of machining processes for efficiency and precision.
Experience
* Proven experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing setting.
* Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar programmes.
* Mechanical knowledge including assembly, welding, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
* Experience working with tooling selection and setup for various materials. Pay: From £30,000.00 per year
