Key Responsibilities
As a Project Controller, you will play a critical role in ensuring the scheduling, financial health, and overall performance of a project. Our offices are based in Manchester, but we work with clients across the Northwest.
* Schedule Management - Timeline Oversight: Ensure project activities are scheduled realistically and adjusted as needed while monitoring critical paths and dependencies to avoid delays.
* Performance Reporting - Progress Tracking: Monitor project progress and milestones to ensure timelines are met. Developing and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders.
* Risk Management – Identify Risks: Work with the project team to identify financial, scheduling, and resource-related risks.
* Financial Management and Cost Control – Budgeting, Forecasting and Cost Monitoring: Manage budgeting, forecasting and cost monitoring processes for the project.
* Tools and Systems Management - System Utilisation: Manage and optimise the use of project management tools (e.g., ERP, Primavera, MS Project).
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
* Experience in Project Scheduling, Planning, Cost Control and Risk Management
* Interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
* Proficiency in Project Management tools (e.g., ERP, Primavera, MS Project).
* A relevant qualification such as from APM (PMQ, PPQ), PRINCE2 or PMP would be of benefit.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
* Willingness to travel as required.
