Working in partnership with this financial services company that specialise in asset finance, we are currently on the lookout for a Monitoring Analyst.
The Monitoring Analyst will support the Compliance Department in ensuring that the business meets its regulatory, legal, and governance obligations. This role is focused on delivering day to day monitoring and quality assurance activity, helping to identify risks, ensure controls are effective, and drive improvements across the business.
Working closely with the Business Support & Monitoring Manager, this individual will play a key role in delivering the monitoring and quality assurance framework, carrying out reviews, and producing reports that contribute to a strong compliance culture and fair customer outcomes. This role is ideal for someone with early career compliance experience looking to further develop their skills in monitoring, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance within financial services.
Role responsibilities;
Monitoring & Assurance
* Carry out monitoring reviews, file checks, and QA testing in line with the monitoring and quality assurance framework.
* Document and escalate findings clearly, highlighting risks and recommending remedial actions.
* Support the tracking of open actions and assist in verifying closure of remedial work.
* Assist in preparing monitoring reports for the Business Support & Monitoring Manager.
Compliance Support
* Support colleagues with regulatory queries by providing accurate and timely information.
* Contribute to fraud prevention activities.
Governance & Reporting
* Contribute to MI reporting for internal stakeholders, collating data on monitoring activity and compliance performance.
* Ensure that monitoring documentation is maintained and up to date.
Collaboration & Development
* Work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure understanding of compliance requirements.
* Take part in training and development opportunities to build knowledge of FCA regulations and assurance skills.
Key skills required;
* A Level qualifications or higher (or equivalent).
* Previous experience in a compliance, assurance, or risk role within financial services.
* Good working knowledge of FCA regulation, particularly Consumer Duty, CONC, SYSC, and DISP.
* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and explain risks.
* Good written communication skills, able to draft clear findings and recommendations.
