Description

We are looking for an experienced aviation professional to join our Fleet Engineering function as a Maintenance Programme & Reliability Coordinator. This is a key role within our Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO), responsible for developing, maintaining, and continuously improving our Aircraft Maintenance Programme (AMP) while ensuring that reliability insights drive operational excellence.

Why AirTanker?

AirTanker is a vital part of the UK’s defence capability, delivering air-to-air refuelling and air transport services to the RAF and MOD. We operate at the intersection of military precision and commercial innovation. As a Maintenance Programme & Reliability Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our fleet remains safe, compliant, and mission‑ready. By developing, maintaining, and enhancing the Aircraft Maintenance Programme—and turning reliability data into meaningful insight—you’ll help keep our aircraft operating at peak performance so AirTanker can deliver when it matters most.

Whats in it for you?

* Technical Impact: Shape the Aircraft Maintenance Programme and reliability strategy, directly influencing aircraft safety, availability, and performance across a unique, mission‑critical fleet.
* Data‑Driven Challenge: Work with complex reliability, defect, and operational datasets—turning insight into meaningful programme improvements that enhance operational effectiveness.
* Collaborative Culture: Be part of a supportive, multi‑skilled engineering team where knowledge‑sharing, continuous improvement, and innovation are central to how we work.
* Comprehensive Benefits: Including private medical insurance, bonus scheme, EV scheme, contributory pension, and more.
* Adventure & Belonging: Battlefield tours, adventure training, and family fun days.

What you'll be doing

* Develop, compile, and maintain the Aircraft Maintenance Programme using data from Airbus DS and the CAA.
* Coordinate AMP reviews and ensure regulatory acceptance within required timescales.
* Generate AMP Technical Requests (TRs) for changes outside of normal revision cycles.
* Review and incorporate mandatory requirements and changes to ALS documentation.
* Manage the AMP within GCIS to support accurate maintenance forecasting.
* Ensure smooth transition of aircraft between AMP revisions without impacting availability.
* Analyse defect and reliability trends to recommend programme improvements.
* Collate and assess operational feedback, feeding insights to the Engineering Technical Services & Support Manager.
* Maintain strong communication links across engineering, operations, and planning teams.
* Attend Maintenance Planning meetings to present and discuss reliability data.
* Record and escalate deviations from the AMP.
* Support with MOCs, root cause analysis, and safety management activities.

What you'll bring

* Proven experience in a Maintenance Programmes environment, ideally with civil aircraft types.
* Strong understanding of trend monitoring and reliability data analysis.
* Ability to work effectively within a multi‑skilled engineering environment.
* Experience collaborating with regulatory bodies and external service providers.
* Proficiency in technical documentation, engineering procedures, and aircraft programme management systems.
* Experience with complex IT systems used for maintenance planning and programme control.
* Maintenance Planning or Manufacturer Maintenance Programme Improvement qualifications (desirable).
Apply now to join our Engineering team and play a key role in keeping our aircraft safe, compliant, and ready for operational demands.
AirTanker is a flexible and responsive world leading aviation service provider. Our capability spans across end-to-end maintenance, military and civil flying programmes, training and major aircraft upgrades.
